Matt's box.

The box has a side hinge attached to a false back. There is sufficient spring to keep the box open. Separating the back from the false back will stablize the box and prevent it from falling over backwards. To counter the spring effect and keep the lid closed, the box has a torsion ring around the base. The lid is tucked into this.
